It's breakfast time! And if there is something that goes very well for the first meal of the day it's pancakes! Regina, from My Tasty Stories, made these amazing Chamomile poppy-seed pancakes and we are stoked!
Try this recipe for your next pancake party and let us know how you like it!
1 1/2 cup flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 large egg
- 1 tbsp of raw sugar
- 1 Chamomile tea bag
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup hot water
- 2 tbsp poppy-seeds
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- Brazilian Quince Honey - Marmeleiro - for serving
Brew the chamomile tea in a ¼ cup of hot water for about 2 minutes. Set aside.
- In a medium sized bowl mix flour and baking powder. Set aside.
- In a different bowl whisk together egg with raw sugar. Stir the milk into the egg mixture, add the flour, poppy-seeds, vanilla extract, brewed tea and melted butter. Mix until nice and smooth.
- Preheat your pan on a medium-high heat, turn it down to a medium and cook the pancakes for about 40 seconds from both sides.
