Chewy Hazelnut Honey Candy Bars
Recipe adapted from RachlMansfield.com
With Halloween tomorrow, keep temptations for unhealthy candies at bay by making yourself these addicting super chewy, delicious hazelnut honey-sweetened candy bars. Our Eucalyptus Honey pairs perfectly with chocolate and hazelnut butter.
Enjoy them straight chilled from the freezer!
Ingredients for the bar
- 3 small dry dates
- 1 tbsp Brazilian Eucalyptus Honey (Buy it on Amazon)
- 1/3 cup creamy organic hazelnut butter
- 1/4 cup coconut flour
- 1 tbsp water (add if needed)
Ingredients for the glaze
- 1/2 a cup dark chocolate
- 1-2 tsp of coconut oil
Directions
In a food processor combine the ingredients for the bar until they are broken up. Make sure not to over mix. Pulse the mixture. Scoop out and form into rectangular shapes. Once you finish forming the squares, place them for a short while in the freezer on a parchment paper-lined baking tray.
Melt the chocolate and add the coconut oil. Remove bars from the freezer and, using a fork, dip them into the melted chocolate. You can sprinkle the bars with toasted hazelnuts before the chocolate hardens.
Place the bars back on the tray and chill in the freezer for at least1-2 hours.
This recipe can easily be doubled if you have a larger family.
Enjoy!
Remember: always use sustainably sourced honey!
