The Best Honey Granola Recipe

The Best Honey Granola Recipe
The MOST requested recipe: HoNeY gRaNoLa! it’s a staple at our house — all you need is rolled oats (I like to use the old fashioned thick-cut oats), and always choose organic. Then you need some oil, we typically use coconut or avocado oil works great, and one of our 10 honey varietals! Recently I’ve been liking our Linden honey, as well as the Eucalyptus. We also like to add some vanilla and cinnamon, but you can add any spices you desire. Also, add in a favorite nut, we recommend choosing a nut which is less oily. For example hazelnuts, almonds & pecans/walnuts work great! We also like using sunflower seeds. Make sure to always choose organic nuts whenever possible - especially almonds.⁣⁣

Here’s a rough estimate for a basic batch of granola: ⁣⁣

  • 4-5 cups of Oats ⁣⁣
  • 1/2 cup Nuts/seeds (choose your fav) ⁣⁣
  • 1/3 {heaping} cup of Honey ⁣. We recommend our Brazilian Eucalyptus Honey  (Buy it on Amazon)
  • 1/4 cup oil of your choice ⁣⁣
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla ⁣⁣
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon ⁣⁣

These are ballpark numbers, make sure to taste test it, see if it’s too dry, you can always increase the quantity of honey as needed.⁣⁣
How we prepare this, is we whisk the honey, oil, vanilla + cinnamon in a bowl until it fuses together. Then we add in the oats and nuts and mix with a rubber spatula or you can even use your hands. The mixture should be dry at first, make sure to coat all of the oats with the liquid mixture. It should get a little sticky. Once you have it all mixed and coated, add this mixture to a baking sheet (lined with parchment paper). You want the granola layer to be quite thin, press the mixture down with your figures, or use a spatula. Bake at 300F for 20-25 minutes on the middle/lower rack, and then bake for another 20-25 min at 220F. Baking time can vary depending on the oven. Granola should look toasty but not burnt. Remove from the oven and allow the granola to completely cool off before breaking it into chunks. Once cooled off, break into large chunks, we like our granola “chunky”! ENjOY!! 😋
