Valentine's Day with Cheese Board Queen

Valentine's Day is around the corner and we would like to introduce you to our friend Emily.

Emily is the cheese board stylist behind @cheeseboardqueen, the popular Instagram account dedicated to taking the guesswork out of building beautiful cheese boards. Today she’s sharing her love for our Cherry Blossom Honey from the Harvest002 collection with a sweet board just in time for Valentine’s Day!

I fell in love with Harvest001 when I was first introduced to the brand last year and was so thrilled when Harvest002 was announced. The flavors, colors, and textures of the honeys in this collection are so unique and have opened my eyes even further to the wide variety of honey that exists across the globe. While I adore each of the honeys in this collection, today, I’m giving some extra love to Cherry Blossom. Its pretty pink label and sweet flavor make it the perfect addition to a Valentine’s Day board!

When I’m building a cheese board, two of the most important things are variety and flavor profile. Adding a versatile honey such as Cherry Blossom creates options for guests to create their own bites and play around with different flavor pairings.

Cherry Blossom has a creamy, medium consistency, and sweet, fruity flavor with hints of Amaretto. It pairs beautifully with a creamy, bloomy rind cheese and a crisp cracker – I like adding a piece of fruit like a strawberry or raspberry for added sweetness and a pop of freshness!

Cherry Blossom also pairs well with cheeses with nutty, salty flavor profiles, like gruyere or manchego. When topped with a piece of prosciutto, you get a bite with the perfect combination of sweet and salty! 

For a simple and delicious bite that really highlights the flavor of Cherry Blossom, top a fresh cherry or raspberry with a drizzle of honey. Your fingers might get a little sticky, but I promise you will fall in love!
